Governors Code of Conduct
Governors have developed excellent working relationships with the school and Governors aim to ensure their conduct is exemplary around the school and within the community. All governors have read and accepted the ‘Governors Code of Conduct‘ as recommended by the National Governors Association.
As a whole governing body we meet at least twice a term.
We also have sub groups and committees to help us address our responsibilities effectively.
- We have a Finance Committee to monitor and advise governors about the budget which meets twice termly.
- We have Governors Strategic group which meets at least twice a term to develop policies, strategies and reports for the governing body to consider.
- We also have a Web site and IT group.
- Also individual Governors are assigned specific subject areas and other areas of responsibility which they monitor and support. Please see our Governing Body Structure for further details of these committee / link memberships.
Frequency of School Visits
We try to visit school at least once a term to monitor the school current developments. We are particularly focused on ensuring that school’s improvement policies and strategies are impacting positively on the children.
